We are Kat and Leafe, desert locals who manage our own properties.

We were traveling across the country when the perfect desert shack on 5 acres popped up on Redfin. IT was the one!  So we quickly stopped at a small print shop in the middle of Kansas and faxed an offer to the realtor. THE OFFER WAS ACCEPTED!!! August 2012 we relocated from NYC to Joshua Tree planning to build a tiny house on wheels, but instead, found ourselves rehabbing the shack. Our lives have not been the same since. Kat comes from the medical world and Leafe comes from an art background. 

This blog is not updated very often and there are not frequent entries. However, if you are interested how we acquired and started sharing  our properties with guests, this blog was started when we began thinking about moving from New York.
